ACR ResQLink AIS Personal Locator Beacon (PLB). Contains both satellite and local transponders. With the introduction of Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality, Return Link Servie (RLS) technology and Near Field Communication (NFC) capability in one 406 MHz beacon, this is an advancement in PLB technology. The combination of 406 MHz and AIS, allows for both Coast Guard & Search and Rescue as well as both commercial and recreational boats in the area. In addition, the NFC capability gives users a smartphone connected PLB. In conjunction with the RLS feature, this PLB provides users with a peace of mind knowing their location will be detected and told it's been received. Designed to install within a life jacket and activate upon the inflation of the jacket (semi-automatic). Installation is made simple using the included oral inflation tube clip to attach the PLB to the life jacket with a ribbon connected around the blader of the life jacket.
